Mafia Wars Question…? (facebook…)?

Those are my stats so far, and when I click on the yellow plus sign to increase my mafia, it just pulls up a ‘Send Join Mafia friend requests’ or something, with everyone in my facebook listed. Is this supposed to happen? How do I increase the size of my mafia? Or is it capped out for now?
Because every time I click a bunch of friends and send requests my mafia size stays the same?

When you send requests, each friend must accept the request before he/she is added to your mafia. Many people ignore requests like these so you should directly and personally ask them to accept the request. To accept the request, they must follow a link on their home page and enable Mafia Wars on their Facebook account. Then your Mafia should increase!
